After more than eight months of the launch of Dynamics 365 Business Central (in some regions) we have found organizations that still do not know what this solution is about and what difference it has with Dynamics NAV. To start with Dynamics 365 Business Central appears as the evolution of Dynamics NAV, so there are no big changes between both solutions. Dynamics 365 Business Central as well as Dynamics NAV are aimed at small and medium businesses. While Dynamics 365 Business Central is geared more to small growing businesses that can do with fewer customizations for their business and Dynamics NAV is suitable for organizations that have more complex needs and require more customizations.
Both solutions are highly competitive, Dynamics NAV is a reliable product for its market positioning. Now Dynamics 365 Business Central guarantees a business without data silos in which you can share updated data to work smarter and more efficiently. This SaaS´s (Software as a service) new solution is hosted in Azure (Microsoft´s cloud). Microsoft announced that it is available by subscription and on premise in these countries since October 2018: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States.
